TumbleBooks Login

One of the most important things for students learning to read is having stories read to them.  This allows students to see and hear fluent reading and can really help students to develop as readers themselves.

Tumblebooks is an excellent website for studentsTo have books read to them online. It is accessible through the Internet and is available for both computers and mobile devices.
Through a partnership with the Calgary Public Library, we now have direct access to TumbleBooks for all CBE students.

Clothing Drive 2018

CJFS Parent Council & Parents For Progress
Winter Clothing Drive

Parent Council and Parents For Progress have noticed that there are students in our school who may not have the warm clothing they need for the winter months. We have decided to hold a winter clothing drive. It will be running from Monday, October 22 to Friday, November 16.

We are seeking donations of gently used, good condition winter coats, scarves, mitts/gloves and snow pants in all children’s sizes.

Donations can be dropped in the bins outside the main office from 8:15 to 3:45 Monday, October 22 to Friday, November 16. Thank you very much for your support!

Sincerely,
Colonel J. Fred Scott School Parents For Progress

Looking for Talented Students!

Dear Students,

Do you have a special talent that you would like to share with our school?  These are skills that you have practiced outside of school, for example, taking a dance class, learning a musical instrument, or practicing a magic trick.

We are looking for a small amount of students to make short performances in the hallways during our Art Gallery Celebration on the evening of March 15th.  Auditions will take place on Tuesday, February 27 and Thursday, March 1st at lunch in Room 13. You may choose the day that you attend auditions.

Please arrive to auditions prepared. You will have three minutes to present your skill, as we only have space for a small amount of students to perform at the "black Tie" Art Gallery Celebration.
